It had always been a dream of mine to visit Noma, so when a friend jokingly suggested we try and get a table, I said "yeah, and I'll get there by land" (I was studying in Singapore) ...and then I realised I wasn't joking. I decided to go all-out and make a website for it. How much did it all cost? About $4,500 AUD ($3,500 USD) for 3 months on the road. This includes accommodation, travel, visas, gear and food. Keep in mind I was travelling very cheaply: hostels, hitch-hiking, couchsurfing, street food - I slept outside a few times, so that was free. Was the meal worth it? Yes!!
